What are you supposed to do when you love someone and they love you but one of your good friends, who's been hurt one too many times in the past, admits that they like you a lot and they're buying you amazing gifts for your birthday? I can't tell them that I don't want it because, despite my feelings, I like the sound of it because no one has ever done it before and I think its sweet. I feel worse for leading them on...but I can't think of anything else that I can do. I wonder...does that make me a horrible person?
